Sloho Bergurlaub is not your typical design hotel in the mountains. It's a small apartment house with just nine units, developed gradually over time. Every apartment has a balcony and a fully equipped kitchen that's genuinely practical, not just an afterthought.

What stands out is the careful choice of materials, especially Swiss stone pine, whose distinctive scent can be found in the saunas and throughout many of the details. Everything feels calm, natural and timeless.

Wellness with Privacy in Mind

Wellness here isn't a scheduled activity, but a natural part of the day. The shared Swiss stone pine sauna has limited capacity and operates on a reservation system to preserve its peaceful atmosphere. Four selected apartments also feature private sauna cabins with their own gardens, ideal for anyone who values complete privacy.

Vorbeischau'n: More Than Just a Café

Right next to reception is Vorbeischau'n, a small café that feels more like a living room than a hotel coffee shop. Good coffee in the morning, a slice of cake in the afternoon, a glass of wine or a quiet conversation in the evening.

It's a place to read, work or simply watch the world outside. The adjoining shop offers a carefully curated selection of products from Styria and Slovenia, thoughtful little finds worth taking home.

Hosts with a Story

Behind Sloho Bergurlaub is the Slodnjak family, originally from Slovenia. Their approach is genuine and personal, with nothing feeling staged or anonymous.

Damira brings her eye for aesthetics and atmosphere, Jelka takes care of the culinary side with great attention to detail, and Vladi keeps everything running smoothly. Together, they've created a place that feels less like a hospitality project and more like a home away from home.

The Mountains Right Outside Your Door

Hohentauern is ideal for anyone who loves the outdoors without the crowds. Hiking, cross-country skiing, ski touring, mountain biking and a small ski area accessible directly from the property. Almost everything starts right on your doorstep.

For a change of scenery, the Red Bull Ring is around 30 minutes away. Otherwise, life here is defined by open landscapes, peaceful surroundings and a sense of unspoilt nature.
