Arriving in Flachau

Flachau is best known for its ski slopes. But right in the heart of the village, there’s a hotel that feels different from the typical sports hotels in the region. Rooms Designed for Real Life

The 92 rooms are deliberately different in character. Some are minimalist, others feature warm wood tones and large windows overlooking the mountains. What they have in common is that they’re designed for people who spend their days outdoors. Spacious showers. Plenty of room for gear. Beds you can simply fall into after a long day on the trails.

Another nice detail: many rooms come with a balcony or mountain views. In the morning, sunlight spills across the rooftops of Flachau and into your room, setting the tone before another day outside. For those who prefer more space, the Champion Suites offer seven-metre-high ceilings, a private spinning bike and an atmosphere that feels more like a personal loft than a hotel room.

At Its Heart: Sport Is Part of the Hotel

What really sets Dips & Drops apart is the concept behind it. Sport isn’t just an extra activity here. It’s an essential part of the hotel itself.

In summer, the property becomes a Bike Hub, offering guided tours, a workshop, secure bike storage and direct access to the trails around Flachau. Come winter, it transforms into a Ski Hub, with the slopes of Snow Space Salzburg just 400 metres away.

There’s also a dedicated Loft Gym overlooking the rooftops of Flachau, with sports scientists on site, a Zwift room for indoor cycling and classes you might actually look forward to. This isn't your typical hotel fitness room. It feels more like a proper training studio where you genuinely want to work out. Rooftop Pool and Ice Baths

After a day outdoors, head upstairs. On the roof, a heated rooftop pool overlooks the village, offering that rare combination of cold mountain air and warm water, especially beautiful in winter. Every Thursday, the pool stays open until 10 pm for Late Night Splash.

For those who like things a little colder, there’s ice bathing in the Enns River. The river flows directly behind the hotel, where a section has been restored to its natural state by the property, complete with a dedicated access platform. For many guests, a dip in the river has become just as much a part of the stay as the rooftop pool.

When evening comes, there are four dining concepts to choose from: Bistro & Bar, Forks & Friends with its daily changing four-course menu, Pasta Point and Steakhaus Schusterhäusl, a 400-year-old building serving Mediterranean-inspired cuisine without compromise.
